The initial appointment consists of a detailed examination and a review of your Medical History and x-rays. Treatment options will be discussed and any questions are welcome.

Kelly, a Registered Dental Assistant, has been part of our team since 2002. Kelly assists with exams, surgeries, and cleanings as well as offering help in the front office as needed. Both Kelly and Dr. Johnson will do whatever they can to help keep you comfortable and relaxed. Don't be afraid to speak up and let us know how we can improve your experience. Kelly completed the Dental Assisting Program at Kirkwood Community College here in Cedar Rapids. Kelly is an active member of the American Dental Assistants Association.
Vicki, a Registered Dental Assistant since 2001, has been with Contemporary Periodontics PC since October 1998. Although Vicki primarily works in the front office answering calls, sending correspondence, and handling insurance claims, she can also assist in the clinic as needed. Vicki's attention to detail is helpful when researching insurance benefits and estimating out-of-pocket costs. Vicki is an active member of the American Dental Assistants Association.
